Last year we changed format from questions for thought about the text to a devotional reading inspired by the text. Based on your response to the change, we will continue with the devotional reading format. We are going to do something a little different this year. You get to choose your pace in walking through the Bible. The link will show the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs reading for the day. You set your pace by choosing to read all of the selections or following just the Old Testament or just the Psalms and Proverbs.
The devotional reading will focus on one of the reading segments. I will quote the key verse or two that inspires the devotional for context. I would encourage you to read the entire reading the verse is found so you will have a better context and understanding of the verse. Such as today, I hope you will read all of Psalm 1, not just the two verses that are quoted.
I hope that reading the Bible everyday will not just be a habit that you develop. I hope that you will find spending time with God to be something you look forward to, that You will see the reality of God’s love written in the Bible for us to read. Reading the Bible is so much more important than anything I have to write about it and I hope that you give reading the Bible first priority. It’s a new year, and I look forward to walking though the Bible. I hope that you will find the journey changes your life—again.
Thanks for your posts, Phil. I have no doubts that this year will bring new insights with the new relationship about to enter your lives!
